Toot toot, honk honk, swish swish.... Greetings my bloggies, It's been a while but this bitch is back in town and ready to get back on the blogging bike. I've been a tad busy with this n that but my love for writing/blogging is far too strong to give it urrrpppppp!
Ok, so what exactly have I been doing. First up I'm shrinking! I've tuned into Diet Chef and its blooming awesome. Meals are delivered, I eat and lose weight. So, número UNO is that I feel better. I had a small foot incident which ended up a little fracture... Out a small spanner in the works but I'm no longer limping which is a good sign! I hired a personal trainer (not so good when you have a foot issues but hey, next week I'm back on it!!!!)
AND I have just been hectic working back stage at XFACTOR. Its been a fabulous opportunity to work/meet with the contestants. I can't divulge more than that I'm afraid but I will post up some pics of behind the scenes soon and do a special blog just on the big X! Besides that, Olympia Beauty Comp has been and gone and what talent we saw in action! I got to meet some great people and catch up with industry friends.
Phew, that's all I think you can handle for tonight - don't forget your extra hour in bed tomorrow!!! Night night peops. Much love x

Revlon Photo Ready Airbrush Foundation Review BEST BUY
Well HELLO Revlon Photo Ready Airbrush Foundation. This HAS to be the best value for money foundation on the high street right now. I'm blown away by the price point versus what you actually get in return.
For those that know me, I am not a wasteful makeup goer myself, sure I have to try, test and use multiple foundations for all skin types but I boast that I own the worst type of skin to work on. Please excuse the washed out pics but you will get the drift!
From the name, you might think this to be a 'spray' application. Nope, its a mousse, go easy on dispensing as a little goes a long way. Packaging is ok, nothing glam but its what's inside that counts. I have opted for 2 shades to mix n match my skin tone. I wasn't hopeful that it would cover my high redness and rosachia, plus I have oily skin so usually I opt for double wear by Estee Lauder. Another surprise is the coverage with such a small amount of product. Im in foundation marvel. Another 'must' to add to my kit. Its light, soaks in well and doesnt give me a cakey look or feel.
May I remind you ladies and gents that this foundation easily available online and in Superdrug/Boots and at a steady price point of c£12.99* (* RRP Boots) for an almost airbrush finish. Sure you may have to purchase two to mix the colour, there are 8 shades to chose from and personally, I think absolutely fantastic for the market its aimed at. Affordable, quality foundation at its best.

Winter Skin SOS - Rodial on Speed dial!
GIVE ME MORE! I have-to-have the Glamtox Rodial skin care range and I'll tell you why. My recent health rut took a toll on my skin causing dry flaky, itchy and extremely irritated skin. Despite being a makeup artist I don't always chose expensive products....
a) because my bank manager wouldn't accept my excuse of my debtors list in favour of a good skin care regime
b) expensive doesn't mean the best for my skin
c) you often pay for packaging and not necessarily quality products
That is until I courted the 'Rodial' range. Woweeeee the price is HIGH and I know long term botox is probably the cheaper option soooooo, I'll enjoy this whilst it lasts. I had a little marvel at 4 products recently and went straight to the counter to readily hand over my well earned pounds on two of them. 2 weeks on, I have lovely glowy skin, dry patches are GONE and absolutely no irritation. I'm in skin heaven. Rodial have a ridiculous celeb following and I can absolutely see why.
This moisturiser is non greasy, soaks in a dream and doesn't leave any dry patches. The downside is that you do need 2/3 pumps as it soaks in the moment it touches your skin. I can't really tell how much product I've used but I think my love affair might be over soon. If any of the products, this is the one I might keep up with. RRP £75.00 (stockists below)

Well here's a new kinda 'wrap' for you....
Are you a Minx expert/lover/guru? Well my lovelies, its time to offer something a little different from the Minx. Its quicker, doesn't need heat activation and is absolutely brilliant. I am a little bit in love with my new find.
I will divulge. One day whilst browsing for xmas presents in Miami last month, I was lured to a brightly lit stand in the mall with pretty awesome nail designs. It didn't take much persuading and before I knew it, I had an entire hand wrapped in different xmas designs within minutes just as the sales lady was explaining the technology. I was in love and several $'s later, I was the proud owner of a new kinda fabulous nail service.
I was told the wraps would last 3 weeks.... I think that's a bit unrealistic unless you dont wash, cook, clean, work or sleep (highly unlikely I'd say!) the average is around a week of good wear. I am loving the new nail wrap... my clients love it too! Nails to go!
5 great things about these wraps...
1. No fuss, no mess - wrap and go - they are dry, no need to wait!

New Year, New SKIN? New HAIR?
Oh dear, xmas has been and gone, NYE seems an age ago, it's that time of the year that my skin goes 'la la' my hair becomes frizzy, wayward and defiant from binge drinking, eating and partying. Aside from detox, I'm thinking there is no time like the present to change the 'now' products and search for controlling, buffing, radiating and anti ageing potions and creams. I'm on the prowl.
Let's start with underwear.... the skin. Mine is greasy, shiny and with flaky dry bits. It's sensitive, easily annoyed BUT I like the fact that in itself, oily equals wrinkle free skin (I'm gloating right now!) the drawback is the fact that it's hard to keep anything on my face in pristine fashion. Amongst my sifting in TK Maxx, I come across Olive Essence Spa moisturiser, I've done the initial investigation and I'm giving it a go, £5.99 later and I'm hopeful that it will be kind to my skin. It is, I'm not disappointed either. You dont need much, it soaks easily and doesn't smell strong. I think I'm on to a winner, only time will tell.
As a TK Maxx junkie, I later found a face masque made by the very same Olive Essence Spa people. Ok, well rub it on until it goes dry and trust me, it goes dry and you pick it off... the effect is pretty much like sugaring so any hair on your face it can be kinda painful. I need a few more tests on this before I am completely sold but skin felt great. Can't grumble, it was a few quid so everything to gain by trial and error.
Next up, the hair. I am sick and tired to having greasy roots and dry ends, despite dry shampoo being my absolute reliable friend, it makes my scalp itchy and we all hate a bit of white snow falling on our shoulders... tres embarrassing. I didn't hold out much hope at Ikea when I spotted their range of hair care and beauty products. Come on now, we are talking Ikea with average prices of £1.69 per HUGE bottle of product. I'm a bit of a all-or-nothing creature so guess what. Yep, your right I got one of every single product in their range spending a whopping total of a tenner for my goods.
I am SHOCKED, SURPRISED and STUNNED. I have converted my friends, family and now hopefully you too. As I stated before, I am sensitive skin so always wary of using something new and cheap but it works. There is nothing offensive about the shower gel, the exfoliator isn't bad, and the body moisturiser is GREAT. The shampoo and conditioner 2 in 1 is the absolute show stopper for me. Not one itch, flake - I have nothing but clean hair, ok its not super shiny but that's what we have shine products for. The bottles are HUGE and I am on week 3 - all bottles aren't even half used. Packaging is simple, as you'd expect from Ikea.
If you dont believe me, try it for yourself!

Miami sunshine & skinkissed - farewell to 2011!
I'm in Miami Bitch..... opps, I meant Beach!!!
You may well have guessed from some tweets that earlier this month I took a vacation to Miami to end my year in a calm and tranquil way. 2011 has been hectic, crazy, mayhem all rolled into one. It was pretty sedate (apart from the hell raising in a few bars with a certain few folk I happen to cherish) and I even managed to get to the beach for a grand total of 8 hours.
Miami is pretty much a second home to me having lived and worked their for a few years. South Beach, the place to go (if you're young, gorgeous, thin and glamarous!) is a fascinating place with variety of bars, clubs, eating and drinking holes not forgetting the shops every which way but loose. You can't be bored in Miami.
So, if you thinking of going to Miami, here's a quick run down of things that I think are absolute must haves and must do's....
1. SUNSCREEN. Even if your not a beach goer, take Cocoa Butter 15spf moisturiser (they have an olive oil spf 15 version too if you dont like the cocoa butter smell). It's perfect to use every day, your skin doesn't dry out and you are protected even on the cloudest of days.
2. MOSQUITO repellent. Even this time of the year... need I say anymore?
3. Hair STRAIGHTENING tools! Humidity is an absolute bitch in this place, even in winter your hair takes a battering...
4. Go down Lincoln Avenue on a SUNDAY morning for shopping, breakfast etc.. its like market day but on a really good day!
5. Try the alligator ADVENTURE. Go on a hike on bikes to see the gators (and wear the god damn repellent.. you WILL need it)
6. If you want a TATTOO, Miami Ink are right on south beach.... if your lucky you will see Ami, Chris, Chris and Darren working but you might have to wait a few HOURS to be seen.... dont get your hopes up!
7. COOL PLACES... Delano is the sister of the Sanderson, great place and great crowd. Sky Bar is another cool place, pretty swanky. Leave the lobster look for another day if you want to fit in.
8. US food portions are massive, order one and share between 2!!! My personal fav is PF Chang's - asian fusion. LOVE LOVE LOVE. Ask for your nearest if you wanna try it. There's a great diner on the corner of washington road which is all american food, you may want to head their for breakfast!
9. If you want to STROLL something slightly more old style Miami, try Coconut Grove.... its cute and there's some random places to check out. Its been hit by recession but I rather like it anyway, its different.
10. SHOPPING! I need to divide this into sections....
If you want a mall based shopping centre, get to Aventura Mall, just off Ives Dairy Junction on I95 about 20 mins north of downtown Miami. If you prefer the discount stores... a stones throw away from Aventura Mall south on US1 is Nordstrom Rack a brand discount store... if you love Juicy Couture (lots of other brands!)... its the place to go! Loehmann's is a brand discounted store mall a few streets south from Nordstrom. Brand names for less! If you want a very good outlet mall, try Sawgrass Mills which is located north Miami, Sunrise/Flamingo Bouvelard. Everyone knows Sawgrass!
Last but not least, you absolutely need to go for a walk on Miami Beach, take a coffee along the front and celeb watch, there are usually a few to be seen! Thanks for reading my Miami guide, I hope its helpful and you have a super dupa time.

Sale or not to Sale?
Each year, we are told that old chestnut that its the 'biggest sale ever'. Yeah right. Settle back on the sofa, all you need is the internet and off we go.
I have walked the lengths of Oxford Street, Kensington High Street, Regent Street, Covent Garden AND Carnaby Street over the past few days. WHAT WAS I THINKING????
IF you do venture out, there are some nice bargains to be had. Im told that LIBERTY'S sale is quite good although I can't vouch for this personally as I haven't been. I'm not a huge Libertys fan myself but the beauty hall has some proper bargains, OPI stuff going cheap as chips (a chum of mine got a pair of Gucci boots £200 off! Crikey!)
HOUSE of FRASER... great bargains to be had, up to 50% off and still a lot of selection, sizes generally available. Pretty good. Mobbed beauty hall... prepare for a bit of shooving and sighing.Got a cracking pair of Dune wedges for next to nothing!
SELFRIDGES. Total mayhem, horrific and not actually sure why I even bothered going in, couldn't get to many rails as it was rammed BUT I did manage to check out a few bargains in the Shoe Store... louboutin and Gucci very generious on discounts (in fairness they do need to be!).
Absolute bargains to be had in JOHN LEWIS - very busy but pretty good selection to be had including homeware and accessories.
NEXT - my goodness, what isn't on sale in that store? If your a Next fan, there's still a lot of choice and size.
PRIMARK - if your not knocked out by plastic fumes then go for your life. Even Primark have a blooming sale and its practically free to shop their. Throw away fashion has never been more popular. Be warned, its a zoo in their.
ILLAMASQUA has a brilliant sale on makeup.. up to 70% off across some lines. www.illamasqua.com an absolute MUST for anyone who loves makeup... not just makeup artists, ANYONE who loves makeup. If you are hell bent on pounding the pavements, you can find the store Beak Street just off Carnaby Street. Go play!
ALL SAINTS have AMAZING stock left with good size selection. I was floored that it wasn't as busy in the Regent Street/Ox St store. Good bargains in all areas.... I wished I saved that purchase I made a week ago, Id have gotten it half price! If your stuck for a party dress, get their tomorrow, you will find one!
TED BAKER Brilliant selection, very busy mind you but well worth it. Goodies please!

HD Brows... Browlicious or Bullshit?
Ok, so I've given in to my 'intrigue' of the HD Brow. I've researched, enquired, googled and genuinally been quite taken with the "7 step technique" that's apparently revolutionised eye brow groomage. Being a natural blonde, I haven't got dark eyebrows, I've never quite found the answer to eyebrow definition in all the years of dying ones hair. I digress. I found a little local salon that offers the HD Brows so perfect for me to trot to and see Gemma the HD Brow consultant who gives me a run down of what's to come.
First up its the HD Brow tint, its specially designed to have longevity of tint, which supersedes the usual tinting formula most salons and therapists use. So far so good, a few minutes later and we're onto the next stage.

Day 5 and I still have dark eyebrows although have become bit patchy so you defo have to fill in them in... it kinda defeats the purpose of forking out £30 to get them done. I have to give some credit that there's a space in the market for new eye brow tints. In all honesty, I absolutely cannot justify spending £1k to learn how to achieve a look on myself and my clients that I already can.

IF you have money to spend on marketing and PR I wish you well. For all those talented therapists you don't need to fork out money to learn things you already know and to all those corporate beauty brand monsters, all you have to do is bring to the market a fabulous tint that has lasting power - there's a gap and someone could fill it quite easily!
First up its the HD Brow tint, its specially designed to have longevity of tint, which supersedes the usual tinting formula most salons and therapists use. So far so good, a few minutes later and we're onto the next stage.

Fancy a bit of special effects???
Halloween is a time for Ghoul and Ghost
Make your look fresh and like a roast
Create a burn that oh so real
Blood and gore, its easy to do...
Hey gore lovers, here's a few home made treats. You just need tissue, liquid latex, a colour wheel or just dig in your makeup bag for black, purple and red powder plus you'll need some blood. Split the tissue ply into two, rip into pieces and scrunch. Paste on the liquid latex and let is dry... get a sponge, dab on colours in turn and cover in blood.
Easy and A B C......
Fancy a bullet wound? You will just need soft wax, a spatula and blood. Rub a small amount of wax into a small ball, place on the skin and blend the edges onto the skin with the spatula or finger. Once its blended and attached, make a hole in the centre and push the hole gently outwards. With a small brush put some black or dark red into the hole and apply blood allowing to drip downwards.
Trick or Treat... Halloween in your cupboards...
Mwwwaahhhhhh ha ha ha haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa TRICK or TREAT?? Are you going to a party that requires a bit of va va voom in the scary makeup department? No idea where to start?
Ok, here's a few quick tips for the least creative of people... good news is that you dont need to spend a penny to look like a zombie!
To you will need...
Talcum Powder or Flour (if you have a white creme based product, even better!)
Black or purple eye shadow, pencil (or fag ash if you are desparate!)
Red lipstick and pencil
This could be messy so best to put something over your clothes to protect your outfit...!
1. Make sure your face is moisturised. When slightly damp pat on talc or flour, once dry pat again with talk/flour to create a pale/white complexion
2. press your forefinger into the black powder or ash and press onto your eye lid (doesn't need to be tidy... try for a panda style look OR draw your lids black with liner
3. get a blusher brush, dip into black shadow/ash (flick excess) and stroke underneath the cheek bone from mid cheek up towards top of the ear (to create contour)
4. dip finger into red powder and dab underneath eyes and inner corners of the eye and around your mouth
5. either whiten lips out, blacken en up or redden them up
6. Last but not least, gently tap in talc or flour to the roots and ends of your hair.
You should end up with a design a bit like this (maybe not quite as precise!)

Olympia Beauty Show
the crowds were bigger than ever!
Beautys Got Talent
Men. Yes, thats right men and plenty of them! There was a huge male presence over the 2 days and I'm not talking the men that carry bags lagging behind their women huffing and puffing. Men were there to shop, talk business and strut confidently in what has been a very female dominated industry. Despite economic fears, there was no recession at Olympia last weekend! My plastic fantastic partner in crime (MasterCard) flexed in anticipation although I absolutely refrained from going totally OTT.
I was fortunate to have a VIP pass to the Scratch Magazine Party on Sunday night and got to catch up with some well known faces, sip some fizz and bust some moves the dance floor. Shame I had to wear my hangover the next day but it was well worth it.
The Louise Page Academy took a small stand that made a huge impact. Makeup artistry and beauty education has never been so forward thinking in creative direction combined with a strong business acumen. There is no doubt that this business venture I belong too is going to boom. I will happily gush that education content is high and prices are low - that's not even the best bit, students get trained by Louise Page herself. Lead by example is her motto! The Academy run a competition called 'Mirror Mirror on the wall' thanks to all entrants, we randomly picked a winner.. congrats goes to Sam Young who has won a 1 day workshop with the Academy. Go Sam! Look forward to seeing you at one of our masterclasses.
Next up is the Pro Beauty North show in October, it will be hard to beat the success of Olympia but I'll go just to be sure I don't miss out!

Dior or not to Dior?
Naturally, the answer is to Dior. I was thrilled to be asked to attend the AW11 collection launch on behalf of Lou Page. I didn't waste any time getting off the blocks to sample the goods on offer. Jenny ushers me to their training room, eqoquently dressed in Dior style - there's a lot to see. As I grab a glass of bubbles, I'm drawn quickly to the new Forever Foundations, represented in the latest ad campaign by Natalie Portman. Flawlessly complexed, there are a few oo's and arh's at the light and sheer fusion of the matifying yet hydrating foundation that will be available in 8 shades (released to retail early October).
My attention is focussed on the 'Christmas' collection which is nails and lips with the undertone of gold through each shade of 4 nails and 8 lips. I'm in goldness heaven and lick my lips at the thought of trying out Exquis, one of the new shades.
Moving swiftly to the new premium skincare range, the new velvet-to-touch facial mask is absolutely divine as is the serum which absorbs instantly into my skin. The subtle smell is typically Dior and I know this will be sell out when the product launches in stores across the nation.
4 new trio eye palettes are blue, green, grey and plum tones, all complimented by shimmer pigment and a flat block colour to blend on the eye. The new pencils are stead fast... within seconds of putting on, they dare not move. Impressive.

The preview is over, I've made new friends enroute and had a very nice time with the Dior PR team. I've nailed it!
Ok, its time to confess that I dabble in extra curricular activity besides makeup and hair. It's an absolute foregone conclusion that 'we' despite our talents as makeup artists or hair stylists, have to be multi skilled. Love it or loath it, its a requirement in today's world.
I'm embarking on my journey to learn how to master the technically appropriate way to do mani's and pedi's. The aim is, I leave with a new skill in my basket ready to offer to my clients. I want to call myself a nail technician and I'm ready to earn that right.
It's no secret, I'm the Academy Director at the Louise Page Academy, I'm taking my own medicine when it comes to training. I've put myself in the hands of Jo Webb, nail guru to the stars. Jo freelances and has recently opened her own establishment in Hitchin, Hertfordshire called Vanity Beauty Academy. The training room is brightness itself, feel the crispness and newness of the slightly rustic building yet beautifully decorated in Cath Kidston style. It feels inviting and cosy, I could live here and I see why Jo's clients will love the surroundings.
I arrive with 3 other ladies and wait impatiently to get on and create beautiful nails... I eye up Jo's creative work on the wall and set my sights to being as good by the end of todays course. Clearly, in my mind I will be an expert by the day is over. Fat chance I might add, but I've started, Im on the road to greatness.
We clean, file, squeak, massage and polish hands and feet - the day flashes by in the blur and it's time to leave with a certificate in hand. I feel elated that I can add a new skill to my business card, facebook and twitter. By the time I have reached my car, in my mind, I have scoped a new treatment room, nail bar and I'm earning a few bob!! Clearly I am slightly dillusional with time scales but what the mind can percieve the body can achieve. I'm raring to go!

Colour Creation at its best... Illamasqua.
Approximately a year ago I became slightly obsessive with Illamasqua products, their store and increasingly, their journey as a training school. A year on, I'm in lust. Makeup for your ultra ego is not a phase, fad or fleeting marketing strapline, its a simple fact. I digress. I am standing at the Illasmasqua's Beak Street Store, London, ready to indulge in some colour therapy.
Slightly nervous as to whom might be in the class, I am greeted by Daniel who has been with Illamasqua since the birth of the training school in 2010, a blonde haired, slender, blue eyed fully fledged tutor by day, drag by night. Who better other than David Horne (whom I shall refer to as Sir David from hereafter) to teach this creative and inspirational masterclass.
As a makeup artist, there is always a chance of suffering the "I am slightly inferior to others' syndrome as eye up who's who in the class. Its low key, there are 5 of us from all different walks of life. Daniel leaps into an intro, a presentation and then a demo using pencils. That's right, pencils. For those of you who haven't had the pleasure of trying any of the Illamasqua products, pencils are labelled generically for good reason. Any pencil, any place, any where, any time. There are no rules with these pencils which can be a primer, contouring aid, highlighting diva and a colour base. Creamy and slightly waxy, these beauties glide on effortlessly, seamlessly and blend well.
We are off to a good start, I have long left my makeup ego behind and throw myself whole heartedly to the mercy of Daniel and the class members, I'm thirsty to learn, watch, absorb and try. I'm back at school and it feels great.
We switch partners, as an odd numbered team, I get to indulge myself in the mirror and quickly move onto the cream pigments complimented by the loose pigments, blending the tones to create something unique and different. I am having the most fabulous time. I see the foundations, the new skin base collection and I turn my affection into creating a flawless, slightly illuminating base and marvel at its coverage. Im thirsty for more, I need-I-have-to-have these on my face and in my kit.
Before I know it, the class bells ring and times up. Daniel so kindly lets me steal my table collection to show the front of house so I can purchase my goodies. One thing that strikes me as value for money is the discount program for professionals. It makes my kit affordable, diverse that serves me well. Every penny I spend on my career, my kit needs to be reflected in my work. Today I felt I became a little better at what I do and a stack of products I know will assist me to do just that.

Confessions of an Airbrusher
I politely cough as I stand before the students. All eyes on me - its nerve racking is exactly what it is. What if I can't articulate myself and get over my stagefright? Deep breath, off we go, I am hoping I won't send the audience in sleep mode...
I start to describe the functions of the airbrush and before I know it, I'm full of animation and verbal diahrarea for this masterpiece of kit. It is a fact, I am totally wowed every single time by the airbrush. For me, there's only ever been one airbrush, its by Airbase.
There is a technique to glide over the face and body but once you've got it, you will be hooked. Lou Page, Celebrity Makeup Artist, is well respected and known for her flawless base on the red carpet. After my airbrush class, she's ready to dial the digits or dash to the door to get her very own stainless steel beast of a machine. SOLD. The other students are in airbrush heaven, all finger tapping in thought of how they can raise funds to indulge themselves in this addictive and flawless form of artistry.
Using an airbrush is speedy, you dont need to powder (which is great for HD TV) and it does have a long lasting effect, its relaxing for your client and it means you can spend the extra time on a wow factor on something else. You can contour, highlight, define and shape with the airbrush, its a matter of trust and knowing that you can really control product distribution and density of the product.
The airbase dual airbrush is easy to use, easy to clean - it even has its own cleaning pot, carry case and an entire host of kit that you can just keep adding.

Whitening or Frightening...?
Ok, so you might know that I was at the New You Beauty Show recently, with my lovely colleagues from the Louise Page Academy. Work? Hell no, I was off like a shot looking at what other exhibitors were doing, selling and offering... great turnout and pretty decent footfall. Lauren Goodger from TOWIE was there to promote her new tanning range which caused a slight stir. I was more interested in the 'Confidence' Teeth Whitening shinannigans personally. For a show price of £49 how could I NOT give it a go.... and I'd dazzle the audience with my white winning smile.
We settle on my current shade of 18 and aim for 10 shades lighter. Bon Bon Bon, Im sold, sign me up RIGHT THIS SECOND.
Donna the lovely lady from 'Confidence' (based in Stevenage), attempts to put the mouth shield in, its too big and I think my lips might actually split... mild panic sets in but not to worry, Donna produces her smaller shield and we are off. First up, a coat of gum protection goes on (I later find out it looks like you have seaweed in your teeth... attractive!) and a first coat of the whitening gel followed by the UV type lamp that sits over my mouth with 15 minutes on the clock.
5 mins up, tingling has started, gums slightly fizzing but eh ok. Beep, beep, beep its 15 mins. Donna looms over me with a toothpick and tissue, wiping off the first coat. She seems happy just on the first shade! I'm thrilled! Donna repeats the same process again and Im feeling a slight burning sensation, teeth has become bit more sensitive and the UV lamp thing is now jamming against the mouth guard, cutting into my gum. Another 15 mins of fist clenching goes on and another round of wipe off, paste on. Its the 3rd time and now, I'm beginning to fidget. More burning, my teeth feel on the edge of hyper sensitive-ness but Donna seems happy the shade is good to go, she declares I'm not a shade 4! Result! That's it, gum shield off, water swirled around and my teeth feel squeaky. I have an audience cooing over my white teeth so off I go to the bathroom.
So where's the white teeth? I thought I would have dulux brilliant white glowing teeth? Nope, sadly not, quite frankly, Im disappointed. I get back to the stand, others tell me they are really white - Im not convinced.
Ok, so its home time, I can't eat or drink anything because my teeth are so sensitive (it feels like someones held ice on them for a LONG TIME), Im slightly miserable so head off to bed, Im aware all damn night long my teeth actually hurt. I am driven to pop some pain relief pills and back to bed I go.
Its morning, I groan, my teeth hurt and its time to clean up. Toothbrush alert.. I can't actually put the toothbrush in my mouth, its too painful and half my gum on a front tooth has blistered along with the inside of my lips, what on earth have I done? I even consider taking the day off of work to feel extremely sorry for oneself.
A few hours later, bleeding gums have stopped and the sensitivity has subsided. Armed with my toothbrush, Im desparate for up close and personal look. They are white, my teeth are actually white and I rather like them, no, I LOVE them. Would I do it again? Hell yes, but I'll know to have straws at the ready and to arm myself with pain killers.

Its morning, I groan, my teeth hurt and its time to clean up. Toothbrush alert.. I can't actually put the toothbrush in my mouth, its too painful and half my gum on a front tooth has blistered along with the inside of my lips, what on earth have I done? I even consider taking the day off of work to feel extremely sorry for oneself.
A few hours later, bleeding gums have stopped and the sensitivity has subsided. Armed with my toothbrush, Im desparate for up close and personal look. They are white, my teeth are actually white and I rather like them, no, I LOVE them. Would I do it again? Hell yes, but I'll know to have straws at the ready and to arm myself with pain killers.

New You Beauty Show!
The first Beauty Show to reach Hertford in Herts! First up, lets talk Theatre. As far as Theatres go, great space for a local show, right in the town centre and guaranteed to get foot fall. Stands ranged from Jewellery, teeth whitening, Spray Tanning and Clothing to the likes of the Louise Page Academy doing what they do best, treatments on offer to everyone. Pretty busy for a fathers day, the crowd ramped up a bit with the arrivel of Lauren from TOWIE who was promoting her own new brand of spray tanning.
As the Academy Director for Louise Page Academy, I am slightly biased that we were the busiest stand with steady bookings for nails, threading and tanning plus strip lash application (so many people get lash application wrong..?!?!).
Happy feet, tired feet - I even brought a new frock and a kick ass necklace and got my teeth whitened.... Oh I see my next blog on the horizon!!!

Guerlain Terre Indigo Palette - Featured in this weeks Stylist Magazine
Dontcha just love Guerlain packaging? Slick and savvy - its pretty seductive. Inside the gorgeous shell you'll find tones in orange, brown and blue with gold as a headlining theme throughout.
Pigment is pretty dense looking but actually much softer when applied, you need several layers to pack on the colour. Be careful not to stroke your brush across the colors else you'll end up with 'one' palette...
So, would I buy the palette? Hmmm, Id buy the empty palette...

I WON! I actually WON a days Colour Creative Masterclass!
Have you ever met the legendary David Horne? Master teacher, aka Product Director at Illamasqua. I got up close and personal with Mr Horne during this weeks demo at Illamasqua Flagship store, Beak Street, Soho, London. Not only did us bloggers and makeup artists get to be kids in a sweet shop and test EVERYTHING, we got to see Mr Horne in action.
Smokey bridal eye in gorgeous lilac tones layered with a sparkled pigment went down a treat, the flawless airbase foundation making the entire look effortless. You can see and feel Alex Box's influence and art throughout the store from their recent campaign.
Airbase were on hand to answer questions and parade their super amazing products (get me the cleaner pot and new stand RIGHT NOW PLEASE), makes cleaning my kit super quick on a shoot. If you are an Airbase Airbrush user, the 00 product does wonders for highlighting. I regularly use the foundation applied with a brush/sponge, it is long lasting and sits so well on any skin.
Ok, so there's makeup every angle of my vision, cupcakes, champagne and a RAFFLE. You heard me right, 3 lucky rafflers got the chance of winning a days masterclass with Illumasqua. Each goody bag given had a raffle ticket, it just so happened mine was a winning number! Chuffed.com and now I look forward to learning with that Mr Horne. What a lucky girl!
